Bonilee Marcella Irwin, 90, Altoona, went home to be with the Lord Friday at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late John V. and Mae E. (Weaver) McKnight. She married William Curry Irwin on Aug. 11, 1956, in Pittsburgh, and he preceded her in death on May 20, 1983.
Surviving are a son, Timothy D. of Pittsburgh; two granddaughters: Erin Babilon and husband, Mike, and Amber Irwin, all of Pittsburgh; four great-grandchildren: Kathrine, Emily, Cayla and Lucas, all of Pittsburgh; a brother, Glenn McKnight of Altoona; and a sister, Beverly McKee of Altoona.
She was preceded in death by five brothers: William, Leroy, Joseph, Donald and Jay McKnight.
Bonnie was a 1942 graduate of Altoona High School and was a member of Second Avenue United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling, golf, sports, playing cards, baking cookies, pies and cakes, traveling and singing in the church.
Friends will be received from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Second Avenue United Methodist Church, followed by a memorial service at 10 a.m., the Rev. Gregg Johnson officiating.
