Nancy Elizabeth Earlenbaugh, 96, Martinsburg, went home to be with the Lord Friday evening at The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg, after an extended illness.
She was born near Martinsburg, daughter of the late Roy Clinton and Catherine Gertrude (Wareham) Steward. She married Harold Doss Earlenbaugh on July 27, 1951, and he passed away in 1986.
Surviving are two stepsons: Richard Earlenbaugh and Glenn Earlenbaugh, both in Ohio; a stepdaughter, Peg; six stepgrandchildren; numerous great step-grandchildren; two sisters: Ann Zimmerman of Martinsburg and Lucille Boyer of Roaring Spring; a brother, Roy (wife, Elsie) of Martinsburg; and several nieces and nephews, including Anita Longenecker, Glenda McConnell and Al Steward and their families.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Gertrude.
Nancy was a 1936 graduate of Morrison Cove High School, Martinsburg.
She retired as a retail specialist from O'Neil's Department Store, Akron, Ohio, after many years of service.
Nancy was a member of Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church, where she faithfully attended J.O.Y. Fellowship. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her family at various family functions.
A public memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at the chapel at The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg, with Pastor Brian L. McCall and Chaplain Linda S. Banaszak officiating. Inurnment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
The family suggests memorial contributions be given to J.O.Y. Fellowship of her church.
