ORE HILL - Barb Pagana and Patty Lang aren't sure how many times they've won the Iron Masters Ladies Tournament championship. They do know, however, they've lost in the finals only once.
Pagana, from Selinsgrove, and Lang, from Meadville, added to their list of Iron Masters victories by carding a 73 Tuesday to finish with a two-day total of 148, which was good enough for a two-shot win in the championship flight.
Robin Craig and Danielle Mitchell of Greensburg finished second by winning a card-off from Gwen Paden of Duncansville and Jody Czap of Philipsburg. Both teams shot 74s Monday and 76s Tuesday for identical scores of 150.

Cathy Traister and Beth Emert of Lock Haven shot a 73 Monday and had a two-stroke lead after the first day. However, paired with Pagana and Lang, the Traister-Emert duo shot a 78 Tuesday and finished at 151 for fourth place.
Lang had a quick reply when asked about her team's success.
"I have a good partner," Lang said, laughing. "That's how you win things like this - you have a good partner.
"She (Pagana) plays a lot of competition, I don't," Lang noted. "So, occasionally, I can show up and win, but she's the horse. I need to ride her once in awhile."
Lang said Pagana's play was key Tuesday.
"We were two behind coming into today," Lang said, "and my partner made a [birdie] three on [hole] 8. That's probably worth a nice skin because it's a tough par 4 for women to reach in two.
"She put it probably 10 feet [from the hole] and made three," Lang said. "That brought us into the field."
Pagana said her team finished strong both days.
"We birdied 18," Pagana said. "That was nice two days in a row.
"We were just out there trying to make putts," Pagana continued. "We always have a good time playing together. It's just so much fun that she comes all the way out [from Meadville]."
The duo said they've been playing together for about 20 years and have played together in Florida.
"We're undefeated against the boys [husbands]," Pagana said.
They've teamed at the Iron Masters Tournament about eight times.
"We missed one year," Lang said. "She [Pagana] had a wedding."
When they have played at Iron Masters, they've all but owned the trophy.
"We have quite a good record here," Pagana said. "We've lost only one time in all the years we've played here.
"But, I really don't keep track of that," she said. "It's just so much fun coming here."
Both said they plan to return to defend their title in 2014.
"God willing, we will," Pagana said. "We really enjoy this. The gals are nice and the course was beautiful this year. The rain has made it very nice."
