Lorraine L. Wyland, 90, Altoona, died Saturday at Valley View Home after an extended illness.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Adam C. and Katherine E. (Love) Gibboney. She married Rodger B. Wyland on June 14, 1950, in Altoona, and he died Jan. 24, 1981.
Surviving are three daughters: Elda Marshall and husband, Ron, of Halifax, Va., Janet Miller and husband, Bob, of Altoona and Regina Shultz of Altoona; a son, Herb and wife, Loretta, of Hollidaysburg; 10 grandchildren: Michael, Amber, Jenny, Shaun, Kristi, Joey, Ryan, Kim, Jessica and Caitlin; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Urguiza; four sisters: her twin, Joanne Gibboney, Bessie Gibboney, Mary "Peg" Billing and Olive Hoover; and three brothers: George, John and Thomas Gibboney.
Lorraine retired from environmental services at Altoona Hospital in 1971. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Altoona. She enjoyed playing cards, puzzles and watching wrestling and enjoyed her many pets.
Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park Cemetery, followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. Interment will be at Carson Valley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society.
