Duncan C. "Bud" Laing Jr., 87, Hollidaysburg, passed away Friday evening at Blair Chalet. He was born in Coalport, son of Duncan C. and Helen (Cossick) Laing. He married Bettie Oswald in Huntingdon in June 1948, and she died June 30, 1996.
Surviving are two daughters: Linda S. Settle and husband, George, and Patty Montgomery.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Rosemary Ames.
Bud was a graduate of Coalport-Irvona High School and a 1948 graduate of Juniata College. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was the owner of Bud Laing Used Cars.
Bud was a former member of Portage Lodge 220, F & AM; Scottish Rite, Valley of Altoona; Tall Cedars of Lebanon, having served as Grand Tall Cedar; and Jaffa Shrine, where he was a member of the Legion of Honor.
Bud enjoyed his children and grandchildren, cars and tropical fish.
