Arthur M. Gobert, 72, Patton, passed away Wednesday at Conemaugh Miners Medical Center, Hastings.
He was born in Colver, son of the late Arthur Sr. and Pauline (Kober) Gobert. He married Barbara Baker on June 19, 1964.
Surviving are his wife; two children: Cindy E. Leonard and fiance, Brian Skupine, of Hastings and Mike A. of Patton; two grandchildren: Christopher (Danielle) Kearnely and Sean (Katherine) Kearnely; two great-grandchildren: Tyler and Alexis Kearnely; and his beloved pets: Max and Winky.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Farabaugh.
Art was a graduate of John Carroll High School and retired as a coal miner from Beth Energy Mines 32 and 33 after many years of service. He was a member of United Mine Workers Local 850 and 1369. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Stevens Funeral Home Inc., 1004 N. Fifth Ave., Patton, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013, the Rev. Paul Demi officiating.
