Sean W. Sweeney, 37, rural Williamsburg, died suddenly Monday at his residence after an apparent heart attack.
He was born in Roaring Spring, son of William D. and Gloria M. (Roller) Sweeney.
Surviving are his parents of rural Williamsburg; a sister, Jennifer Sweeney and husband, Brad Standley, of Phoenix, Ariz.; his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Roller of Homewood at Martinsburg; a nephew, Ethan Standley, and a niece, Kaitlyn Standley, both of Phoenix; and numerous uncles, aunts and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Palmer and Marie Sweeney; and his maternal grandfather, Drew Roller.
Sean was a 1994 graduate of Williamsburg High School and then attended Penn State Altoona. He formerly served as an apprentice with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 5, Pittsburgh. He was of the Protestant faith.
Sean enjoyed pencil sketching art, hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, gardening and riding his four-wheeler.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2013, at John C. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 1, 2013, at Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg, Pastor Tiffany E. Marvich officiating. Interment will follow at Royer Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.
