Saxman drives in eight in ProActive’s romp

Mark Saxman had four hits, including a grand slam and a double, and eight RBIs to lead ProActive Sports to a 23-3 romp over the Railbirds in five innings in a AAABA/City League game on Monday at Juniata.

Andy Lytle also had a grand slam among his two hits for ProActive, which scored 16 runs in the third innings. Teammates Tyler Stiffler, Matt Hershey and Jim Clancy also had two hits.

Casey Gray went 2-for-3 with two RBIs to lead Martin Oil at the plate. Josh Huber struck a pair of doubles and drove in two runs for Corporal Miller, while Cody Wilt added a pair of hits.

Mark Fanelli doubled and singled for Postal Express. Andrew Gressler scatter six hits in the win.

n Quinton Newberry and Cordell Bowser knocked in two runs apiece to lead Cumming Motors to a 7-3 victory over Teeter Group at Seitz Field.

Cumming Motors rode a six-run second inning to improve to 14-4.

Lilly Panthers wrapped out 17 hits and scored 12 runs over the first four innings of the game.

Nate George had two hits and drove in two runs for Lilly Panthers, who got three-hit shutout pitching from Brian Ehrenfeld.
