Ruth F. Whiteman, 76, Hollidaysburg, died Tuesday morning in Altoona.
She was born in Dean, daughter of the late Russell and Rosalla (Swire) Davison. She married Carl R. Whiteman in Winchester, Va.
Surviving are her husband, with whom she shared 38 years of marriage; two sons: John R. and wife, Laura, in Florida and Robert R.; and a brother, Gordon of Dysart.
Mrs. Whiteman was a 1954 graduate of Cresson High School. She worked at Sylvania for over 20 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Hollidaysburg, Order of Eastern Star, Delphi Chapter 65, Ladies Oriental Shrine and Jobel Court.
Ruth enjoyed bowling and animals, especially her pet cat, Fritz.
Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2013, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, where an Order of Eastern Star memorial service will be held, followed by a funeral service officiated by the Rev. Chuck Monts.
Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
Memorials in Ruth's name may be given to First Presbyterian Church of Hollidaysburg or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
