Joan A. Fulton, 71, Cresson, died Sunday at Altoona Regional, surrounded by her family, following an extended illness.
She was born in Cresson, daughter of the late Daniel and Leta (Short) Kirby. She married Victor Fulton in May 1988.
Surviving are her husband; four children: Geri (Paul Bradley) Reed of Brownstown, Patrick (Deborah) Reed of Flagler Beach, Fla., Douglas (Cissy) Reed of Altoona and Robert (Nikee) Reed of Elizabethtown; and four siblings: Joline (Mark) Soisson, Linda (Ron) Wasil, Paul (Barbara) Kirby and Patrick (Gina) Kirby. She was a proud mother and leaves behind numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly and enjoyed spending time with.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel; and a nephew, Paul.
Mrs. Fulton was a 1960 graduate of Cresson Joint High School. She was formerly employed as the medical office manager for Dr. Basile Tolis from 1968 until 1999. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Cresson.
Joan will always be remembered for her awesome pizza parties and birthday cakes. She will be greatly missed and always remembered.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. A memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later date.
