Melissa Bailey and Kent Tonkin were united in marriage Dec. 1 at the Edith Davis Eve Memorial Chapel at Penn State Altoona.
The bride is the daughter of Donald Paul Bailey and JoAnn Bailey of Bellwood.
The bridegroom is the son of the late Dolores Tonkin of Fallentimber.
The Rev. Jaqui MacMillan officiated.
Bruce Schettig provided accompaniment on guitar.
Bridesmaids were Holly Grusky, Kelly Porada and Deshonna McAdoo, cousins of the bride; and Madeline Bailey, niece of the bride.
Kirk Tonkin, brother of the groom, and Donovan Dotts, uncle of the groom, served as best men.
A luncheon followed the ceremony at Marzoni's Brick Oven and Brewing Co. in Duncansville, followed by an after party at the Bailey family home in Bellwood.
The happy couple honeymooned in Colorado, including visits to Mount Princeton Hot Springs and Pike's Peak.
They reside in Altoona.
Mrs. Tonkin is a 1990 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School and a 1993 graduate of Altoona Hospital School of Nursing.
She is a registered nurse in the wound and ostomy department at Altoona Regional Health System.
Mr. Tonkin is a 1991 graduate of Glendale High School, Flinton; a 1995 graduate of St. Francis University, Loretto, with a bachelor's degree in communications; and a 2005 graduate of St. Francis University with a master's degree in human resources management/industrial relations.
He is the assistant director for information technology at St. Francis University's CERMUSA.
