Panthers roll in no-hitter

NORTHERN CAMBRIA - Garrett Martynuska fired a five-inning no-hitter and struck out 10 as the Lilly Panthers blitzed Northern Cambria Hotel 18-0 in Cambria Township Pony League 15-year-old division action on Friday.

Martynuska also had three hits, as did Gavin Martynuska. Nate George came up with four hits for the Panthers, who also got three RBIs each from Aaron Fagan and Dane Myers.

Altoona Teener Major

Will Helsel pitched a six-hitter, striking out nine with no walks in leading C&G Savings Bank to an 8-1 win over Teeter Group in an Altoona Teener Major game.

Helsel also had two hits and two RBIs, while Jake Slebodnick had two hits and an RBI. Teammate Cory Houck added two RBIs.

Teeter Group got two hits each from J.M. Knepp and Camen Nicolini.

Altoona Teener Minor

Brady Nicewonger was the winning pitcher and drove in two runs as Cumming Motors edged Eldorado Kiwanis, 7-4, in an Altoona Teener Minor League game at Seitz Field.

n Liam Steward had three hits and four RBIs to lead Burgmeir Hauling to a 10-0 win over Gingrich Insurance in five innings at Seitz Field in a game from Sunday that was protested by Gingrich because of a possible substitution infraction but wasn't upheld.

Burgmeier's Hadley Hollern had three hits and two RBIs, and Zach Bryan tossed a complete-game shutout.

NEW ENTERPRISE - Jonah Diehl and Caleb Marasco combined on a two-hitter and each came up with two hits themselves as Cumming Motors turned back Northern Bedford Panthers 13-2 in an Area 4 VFW Teener 13-and-14-year-old game.

Josh Russo had a triple and two singles for Cumming, which also got a pair of hits from Michael Berish.
