E. Ruth "Gram" Rumbarger, 94, Fostoria, Antis Township, died Wednesday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Donna, in Fostoria surrounded by her family.
She was born in Fostoria, daughter of the late Harry J. and Bertha M. (Figard) Thomas. She married Charles E. Rumbarger on Oct. 12, 1940, at the United Methodist Church in Cumberland, Md., and he died Jan. 26, 2003.
Surviving are two daughters: Donna J. Boutiller and Bonnie J. Sultage and husband, George M. Sr., all of Fostoria; six grandchildren: Melody (Doug) Jenkins of Bellwood, Tammy (Tim Fierro) Clapper, Missy (Bill Newberry) Boutiller and George (Angela) Boutiller, all of Altoona, Troy Boutiller of Fostoria and George (Michelle) Sultage Jr. of Mechanicsville, Md.; 19 great-grandchildren: Anthony and Matthew Jenkins, Devon and Jesse Cherry, Taylor Clapper, Laura Fierro, Amber (Glenn Kunis) Pfahler, Brandon (Natalie Ernst) Pfahler and Harley Pfahler, Trent, Haden, Riley, Georgie and Alex Boutiller, Ashley, Troy Jr., Nick and Abigail Boutiller and Hunter Sultage; and two great-great-grandchildren: Gavin Cherry and Melissa Kunis.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Willis, Cecil and Bruce; and two sisters: Esther M. and Thressa Reed.
Ruth was a graduate of Pennyroyal School, Antis Township. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Bellwood, and the Order of the Eastern Star, Tyrone Chapter, and a life member of Logan Valley Grange, Bellwood. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing or visitation. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Peggy Bonsell officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
