Mary Jane Wagstaff Smith, 85, Newark, Ohio, passed away Thursday at the home of her daughter, Sherry, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Ganister, daughter of the late Steven and Anna (Thomas) Rabits.
Surviving are two daughters: Sherry (Al) Koklich of Granville, Ohio, and Karen (Bill) Bodnar of Cochranton; five grandchildren: Justin (Heather) Koklich, Kelley (Joseph) Forster and Chris, Jason and Jared Corbin; two great-grandchildren: Katelyn and Jack Koklich; a brother, Frank Rabits of Altoona; a sister, Ruthie Tancos of Courtland, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Wagstaff; her second husband, Charles Smith; five brothers; and two sisters.
Mary had been a supervisor at Kmart. She deeply loved her family and especially enjoyed the times she played bingo with the girls.
Friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2013, at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark, Ohio, where a vigil for the deceased will be held at 1 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2013, at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 785 Newark-Granville Road, Granville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Granville.
