Louise Mae Updike, 92, Tyrone, died Wednesday at Epworth Manor, Tyrone.
She was born in Tyrone, daughter of Howard F. and Clara B. (Parks) Hunter. She married Richard M. Updike on May 20, 1942, in Tyrone, and he died Nov. 22, 1999.
Surviving are two daughters: Patricia Ann Summers of Keyser, W.Va., and Janet Stewart and husband, Donald, of Bald Eagle; five grandchildren: Mark D. and James W. Summers, both of Pensacola, Fla., Andrea Fink of McConnellstown, Leslie Norton of Bellwood and Brian Stewart of Tyrone; and a sister, Betty Brisbin of Tyrone.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Virgil, Calvin and Melvin Hunter; and two sisters: Mabel Pardoe and Martha Stewart.
Louise retired in 1978 from Big Yank, Tyrone, as a seamstress after 38 years of service. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
There will be no viewing or service. Burial will be at Blair Memorial Park.
