Athlete of the week achievement: Kline threw seven shutout innings of relief and gave up just two hits and struck out 11 in earning the win in Bedford's 5-3 12-inning win over Everett, coached by his father, Mike, in the District 5 Class AA championship game.

Season update: Kline is 6-0 this season with a 1.44 ERA and 51 strikeouts in 34 innings. The 18-3 Bisons play Mount Union today in the PIAA first round.
