Shirley A. Kehler, 80, Hollidaysburg, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday evening at Altoona Regional.
She was born in Hollidaysburg, daughter of Alden and Christable (Benton) Bicker.
Surviving are two daughters: Deborah Shoop (Ron) of Hollidaysburg and Tawny McLoota (Gary) of Altoona; two sons: William L. III and fiancee, Karen Muir, of Hollidaysburg and Michael (Marcie) of Farrell; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Sandra Zell in West Virginia; and two brothers: Robert (Jane) of Waynesboro and James (Shirley) of Hollidaysburg.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, William L. Kehler IV.
Shirley had been employed at the Hollidaysburg State Hospital and Hollidaysburg Veterans Home as a nursing assistant and retired in 1995 after 22 years of service. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Hollidaysburg, where she was an active volunteer, and she enjoyed her family, camping, bowling, gardening, crafts and boating.
Friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday, May 31, 2013, at First Presbyterian Church, Hollidaysburg, by Pastor Chuck Monts. Interment will be at Presbyterian Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
Memorials may be given to the church.
