Barbara E. Diehl, 76, Flinton, formerly of Irvona, died Monday at her residence after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Philipsburg, daughter of the late Gerald T. and Ruth Virginia (Bryan) Keith. She married Harry E. Diehl on Sept. 29, 1962, and he died in 1984.
Surviving are two sons: Ronald Dotts of Flinton and Edward Diehl of Glasgow; five daughters: Donna Chambers of Port Charlotte, Fla., Elaine DeSong of Hyde, Mary Wallace of Clearfield, Christine Coates of Clearfield and Rose Diehl of Irvona; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; and four siblings: John and Raymond Keith, Bessie (Clem) Everett and Sandra Hageman, all of Buffalo, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by a son, Bernard Diehl; a granddaughter, Faith Coates; and a brother, Gerald Keith Jr.
Barbara was employed by Area Transportation Authority, DuBois, for 17 years, retiring in 2006. She was affiliated with the Irvona Christian and Missionary Alliance Church for many years, and she was a devoted Christian and loving wife and mother.
Friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service today, May 30, 2013, at Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home Inc., Irvona, the Rev. Paul Jacobson officiating. A graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery.
