Anna Marie Bennett, 80, Lakemont, went to be with the Lord Tuesday at Altoona Regional.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Thomas and Rose (Vallei) Carnevale.
Surviving are four children: Teresa Gates, James "Tony" Anderson, Thomas Bennett and wife, Cathy, and Victor Bennett and partner, Jenn Heverly, all of Altoona; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren with one more on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Robert M. Bennett; her sister, Janet Wyland; and her oldest grandson, Jeremy Anderson, who died unexpectedly in April 2013.
Anna was a member of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Lakemont, where all of her children went to school. She had an unshakable faith and dedicated her life and love to passing that faith on to her entire family. Her children and family remember her wisdom when they experience hardships. Her often-heard response to life's difficulties was, "What would Jesus do?"
Anna loved bingo, trips to Atlantic City and flea marketing with her husband. She had many friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends will be received from noon until the 3 p.m. funeral service Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Axe and Santella Family Chapel, 1534 Fourth St., Altoona, Pastor Tim McGarvey of Altoona Alliance Church officiating. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Leslie E. Axe Funeral Home, 1520 Fourth St., Altoona.
