Robert L. DeArmitt, 87, Hollidaysburg, died Sunday at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Frank and Mary DeArmitt. He married Mary B. Weyandt on March 5, 1955, in Altoona, and she preceded him in death Dec. 7, 2007.
Surviving are two children: Robert C. and wife, Stephanie, of Altoona and Cora Kelley of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren: Logan C. and Connor N. DeArmitt, Timothy Heidler, Ashley Richards and Lauren Kelley; and four siblings: William of Tacoma, Wash., Walter of Bellwood, Charles in South Carolina and Gloria.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Hamp.
Robert was a graduate of Altoona High School and a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He retired from Blair Clay Products as a laborer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and building model airplanes.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation.
