Naomi M. Yonkosky, 88, Altoona, died Friday at her residence, after an extended illness.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Raymond and Margaret (Johnson) Stiver. She married Joseph Yonkosky on Oct. 30, 1941, in Maryland. He preceded her in death in 1992.
Naomi is survived by two sons: Joseph and wife, Mary, of Jesup, Ga., and Thomas and companion, John Learish, of Altoona; a daughter, Jane Rafferty and husband, Shelby, of Harrisburg; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Donald Stiver of Altoona.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two daughters: Agnes Eyler and Mary Teeter; an infant son; six brothers; and two sisters.
Naomi retired as an assembly operator from Veeder-Root. She enjoyed crocheting and working puzzles.
Friends will be received from 6 to 7:45 p.m. today at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. by Pastor Douglas R. McGaffin. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
