Raymond J. Hagg, 79, Tyrone, died Friday at his residence.
He was born in Tyrone, son of John and Wilhelmina (Greible) Hagg. On Oct. 1, 1960, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Tyrone, he married Sally J. Lynch. She died on Sept. 26, 2003.
He is survived by three daughters: Gretchen H. Barlett and husband, John, of Tyrone, Stephanie H. Kuver and husband, Jeff, of Ijamsville, Md., and Christine A. Nagle and husband, Chris, of Tyrone; five grandchildren: Johnny and Jeremy Barlett, Greg and Jessica Kuver and Mike Nagle; and three brothers: Al Hagg of Bellefonte, Tom Hagg of Weirton, W.V., and Dick Hagg of East Greenville.
He was a 1951 graduate of Tyrone High School and a 1957 graduate of Notre Dame University with a degree in accounting.
Mr. Hagg retired in 1996 from Cerro Meta Products, Bellefonte, as general cost accountant after 27 years of service. He and his family had operated the former Hagg's Dairy, Tyrone, for many years.
He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, St. Gregory Council and the Tyrone Elks.
Ray enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren. He loved God, his country and Notre Dame.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Feller Memorial Home, Tyrone. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 27, 2013, at St. Matthew Catholic Church with Father Jozef Kovacik, celebrant. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
