Raymond L. Coffman, 69, Altoona, went home to be with his Lord and Savior unexpectedly on Friday.
Raymond was born in Wilmington, Del., son of Raymond and Annabelle (Varner) Coffman Sr. He married Dorothy Yohn on April 3, 1965, in Altoona.
Raymond is survived by his mother; his wife; a son, Raymond Jr. (Patty) of Spokane, Wash.; two daughters: Carmen Malicky (Rick) of Jersey Shore, Pa., and Robin Smith (Kevin) of Duncansville; six grandchildren: Devon Coffman, Jessica Malicky, Lindsay Malicky, Joshua Malicky, Kevin Smith and Cheyanne Smith; and two brothers: Donald Coffman of Hollidaysburg and Mark Stevens of Winchester, Va.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Ronald Coffman.
Raymond was a 1962 graduate of Altoona High School and was a U.S. Army and Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War.
Raymond retired as a sales representative for Penn Glass and Fender in 2005.
Raymond was a member of Grace Bible Church, where he was a member of Senior Saints.
He enjoyed camping and NASCAR. Most especially Raymond loved his grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 27, 2013, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Grace Bible Church by Pastor Lou Hileman. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
