Dorothy Kopac, 93, Garvey Manor, formerly of Hollidaysburg, passed away peacefully on Friday at the manor.
She was born at Midland, daughter of the late Sam and Martha Katich. She married Lewis Kopac on Nov. 10, 1940, in Midland, and he died Sept. 10, 2008.
Surviving are her children: Carole Thompson of Huntingdon and Paul and wife, Nancy, of Hollidaysburg; a sister, June Bevan of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; six grandchildren: Christopher Kopac of Hollidaysburg, Gregg Thompson of Huntingdon, Lisa Thompson-Hess and Marsha Lewis, both of State College, Lantz Thompson of Palmyra and Michael Kopac in Germany; eight great-grandchildren; beloved niece: Marcy Groll of Pittsburgh; and many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters: Bertha, Mildred and Sofia; and three brothers: Robert, Nick and Sam.
Dorothy was a graduate of Midland High School. She became a lifetime homemaker, dedicated to loving and taking care of her family.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
