Clova Ruth Stoudnour, 94, Martinsburg, entered into heaven Wednesday evening at The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg, with those who loved her gathered near.
She was born in Martinsburg, daughter of the late Cladius and Sarah (Guyer) Hershberger. She married Leonard B. Stoudnour on Dec. 10, 1941, in Winchester, Va., and he passed away on Dec. 13, 2008.
Surviving are two sons: Dr. Terry and wife, Donna, of Mechanicsburg and Scott and wife, Denise, of Claysburg; two daughters: Linda Hileman and husband, Richard, and Sue Stoudnour, all of Martinsburg; seven grandchildren: Tim, Holly, Keri, Scott, Amy, Wesley and Ashley; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Miriam Hoover of Roaring Spring.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Hubert.
Clova was a 1937 graduate of Martinsburg High School. She had attended Juniata College, Huntingdon, and then the Altoona Business School. She was a member of Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church and a former member of Martinsburg Civic Club.
Clova was a homemaker who took great pride in her home and in her family. She had come to love her "new home" at The Village and greatly appreciated her new family, the residents and staff there.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2013, at John C. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg, and 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Monday, May 13, 2013, at Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church, Chaplain Linda S. Banaszak and Pastor Brian L. McCall officiating. Private interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
The family prefers that memorial contributions be given to Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church.
