Dominic R. Balzano, 28, Dysart RD, died Thursday.
He was born in Altoona, son of Jim and Pennie (Stoner) Balzano.
Surviving are his parents of Dysart RD; a sister, Toni Mercer (Eric) of Altoona; a niece soon to be born; his paternal grandmother, Eleanor (McNulty) Balzano Cree and husband, Harry, of Dysart RD; his maternal grandparents: David and Joyce (Troutwine) Stoner of Tyrone; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert Balzano.
Dominic was a member of Pleasant Valley Assembly of God Church, Altoona, and he enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved children.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2013, at Gibbons Funeral Home, Ashville, and 4 until the 6 p.m. funeral service Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Pleasant Valley Assembly of God Church, Altoona, with the father of the deceased, the Rev. Jim Balzano, officiating. Committal will be in St. Augustine Cemetery.
