CRESSON - MacKenzie McIntosh and winning pitcher Kelly Yusko each tripled and singled to lift Penn Cambria over Central Cambria, 4-1, in high school softball on Thursday.

Yusko knocked in two runs for the Lady Panthers. Central Cambria's Chelsey Long recorded two hits for Central Cambria.

EBENSBURG - Lindsey Kosicki tripled twice and drove in two runs, and Cambria Heights scored four times in the top of the seventh to break open a close game, as the Lady Highlanders picked up a Laurel Highlands Conference win at Bishop Carroll.

Cori James and Lydia Slovikosky added two hits each for Heights, while Allison Lidwell knocked in two runs.

Sarah Gomish homered and drove in four runs for Carroll, which also received three hits from Courtney Link and two each from Brooke Menton, Janelle Gueguen and Abby Simmons.

Mackenzie Burge had three hits and two RBIs for the winners, who scored six times in the third inning. Haylee Hayward added two RBIs to go with two hits from Abby Showers. Burge helped herself out with a two-run home run.

Lady Vikes win
