Eshelman, Yingling propel NBC to victory

LOYSBURG - Makenzie Eshelman had four hits and four RBIs, and Kelly Yingling had four hits to lead Northern Bedford to a 12-5 win over McConnellsburg in high school softball Tuesday.

Winning pitcher Morgan Eshelman struck out 11 and walked four.

Hollidaysburg juniors sweep

STATE COLLEGE - Hollidaysburg defeated Mount Nittany, 10-1 and 8-3, in junior high softball.

Mikayla Focht had two hits and scored three runs in the first game and was the winning pitcher of the first game. In the second game, Ashley Helsel had two hits and Kaitlyn Cappella was the winning pitcher. Hollidaysburg is 14-6.
