Heights rolls to win over Red Devils

PATTON - Andrew Brawley earned the five-inning victory and also drove in two runs to help Cambria Heights rout Central Cambria, 17-5, in high school baseball Tuesday.

Brett Sammarco collected two hits and three RBIs for Heights, now 8-4 overall, and Alex Eckenrode had two hits.

Will Seymour smacked two homers for Central Cambria, and Tanner Ambrisco went 3-for-3.

NEW ENTERPRISE - Eric Grace singled in Isaac Stern with no outs in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift Northern Bedford over McConnellsburg.

The Black Panthers sent the game into extra innings with three runs in the seventh inning. McConnellsburg had only one hit from the fourth inning on against pitcher Garrett England.

Grace had three hits, and Stern had two hits. McConnellsburg's Tristan Deneen and Jesse Swope had two hits apiece.

Northern Bedford improved to 11-3.

ROARING SPRING - Jacob Muthler and Brice Brumbaugh combined on a one-hitter and struck out 15 batters to help Spring Cove improve to 7-0 with an 11-1 win over Moshannon Valley in five innings in junior high action.

Muther threw the first two innings, and Brumbaugh threw three. Elijah Benton delivered two hits and three RBIs for the Cove.

Altoona Teener Minor

T.J. Becker had a bases-loaded triple and five RBIs to highlight Cumming Motors' 24-6 Altoona Teener Minor baseball win at Seitz Field.

Jacob Huber and Nick Villano had two hits apiece for Cumming - with Huber knocking in four runs - while Casey Sheetz was the winning pitcher. Nathan Bonsell came up with a pair of hits for J&P.
