Richard A. Steuding, 68, Altoona, died unexpectedly Sunday at Altoona Regional.
He was born in Flushing, Queens, N.Y., son of the late Augustus and Margaret (Sheeren) Steuding. He married Nancy Lowery on June 19, 1989, and she died in 2007.
Surviving are a daughter, Lisa Willingham; a son, Michael and wife, Cathy; five grandchildren: Whitney and Courtney Willingham, Whitney and James High and Lloyd Moyer Jr.; a great-granddaughter; and a sister, Ann Hawley.
Richard was a graduate of Lexington Catholic High School in Kentucky, and he retired from the U.S. Air Force. He owned Rich's Model Trains and had been a truck driver for Crete Carrier Corp. He was the president of the Blair 8-Ball League and enjoyed model trains, billiards and motorcycles.
Friends will be received from 5 until the 7 p.m. funeral service Thursday, May 2, 2013, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park Cemetery, the Rev. Jack Wiley officiating. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
