Paul Adam Burget, 90, Altoona, died late Friday evening at Garvey Manor.
He was born in Martinsburg, son of the late Adam and Anna (Glass) Burget. He married Eleanore Smith on July 2, 1951, at First Lutheran Church, Altoona.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years; a daughter, MaryAnn (Timothy) Burget-Shea of Hollidaysburg; a daughter-in-law, Gwendolyn Jane (Henderson) Burget of Altoona; four grandchildren: Adam (Tia) J. and Garran T. Burget and Saidi and Tyler Shea.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert B., on July 9, 1997; brothers: Walter and Lloyd; and a sister: Mildred Nearhoof.
Paul was a graduate of Martinsburg High School and served in the US Army, WWII and Korea.
He retired in 1984 as a supervisor at Boyer Bros. and was a member of First Lutheran Church, Altoona, where he served on the church council. He enjoyed traveling and his family.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2013, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013, Pastor Ralph Hamer officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
