Guilfoyle outlasts Colts in 5 sets

NORTHERN CAMBRIA - Collin Welteroth had 13 service points and 16 digs for Bishop Guilfoyle as the Marauders handed Northern Cambria its first loss, 24-26, 28-26, 23-25, 25-22, 15-6, in high school boys volleyball Thursday.

Damon Rickens added 18 kills and 16 digs for Guilfoyle, while Ben Kasun added 57 assists.

Bishop Guilfoyle improved to 8-1, while Northern Cambria fell to 8-1.

Altoona sweeps

DuBOIS - Tanner Baumgartner had 25 assists, 14 kills and 12 digs as Altoona swept DuBois, 25-19, 25-16, 27-25.

Brett Koelle added 14 kills and 15 digs for Altoona, as it improved to 4-3.

CC juniors triumph

EBENSBURG - Abby Young had six service points for Central Cambria as it defeated Forest Hills, 16-25, 25-17, 15-7, in junior high girls action.

The Lady Red Devils (2-6) also won the junior varsity match, 25-22, 15-25, 15-13.

PC juniors beat BC

CRESSON - Riley Anderson had eight service points for Penn Cambria in its win over Bishop Carroll, 26-24, 25-19.

Penn Cambria improved to 12-1, while Bishop Carroll won the junior varsity match, 25-19, 25-16.

Tiger juniors win

BELLWOOD - Hollidaysburg defeated Bellwood-Antis, 25-15, 25-13, in junior high action.

Hollidaysburg's Mikayla Focht had three kills, and teammate Delaney Hurd had nine service points and three aces. Hollidaysburg is 4-5.

Hannah Klesius had five kills and two digs for the Lady Devils.
