Red Devils edge Bishop Guilfoyle

Central Cambria improved to 7-3, thanks to a 3-2 win over Bishop Guilfoyle in high school boys tennis action Monday afternoon at Mansion Park.

The Red Devils got singles wins from Adam Trexler and Josh Remillard, along with a doubles victory from Zach Gerlach and Chris Nischalke.

Guilfoyle (6-4) got a singles win from Jimmy Burke and a doubles win from Stan Sullivan and Matt Keefer.

Altoona blanks DuBois

DuBOIS - Chad Allender and Ryan Good both posted singles victories before teaming for a doubles win as Altoona improved to 9-1 with a 9-0 victory over host DuBois.

Chris Reighard, Mustafa Ahmad and Joey Settimio posted singles wins for Altoona, while Ahmad teamed with Sam Houk for a doubles win. Other doubles victories were achieved by the teams of Jake Colledge and Connor Brandt, and Ben Borst and Cory Doeing.

Bearcats fall to CM

HUNTINGDON - Huntingdon fell to 2-3 after a 5-2 loss to Central Mountain.

The Bearcats picked up a win at No. 2 singles, thanks to Austin Perow, while the doubles team of Chalmers Port and Taylor Mitchell also earned a victory.

Lane Karns and Cory Black combined to win a doubles match for the Bisons.
