Tammie K. Marks, 50, Osterburg, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday. She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Harold and Helen (Dodson) Holland and was raised in the home of Sonny and Debbie Holland. She married Charles Marks Feb. 6, 1982, in Ore Hill.
Surviving are her husband; two sons: Dayton and wife, Tasha, of East Freedom and Devin of Osterburg; six grandchildren: Summer, DJ, David, Felicity, Morgan and Karissa; two sisters: Linda Glass and husband, Dennis, and Carol Walter and husband, Woody, all of Claysburg; four brothers: Harold Jr. "Sonny" and wife, Debbie, of Glasgow, Robert and wife, Wanda, of Bedford, Tom and wife, Joanne, in Georgia and Richard and wife, Tammy, of Duncansville; a brother-in-law, Tony Claar of Queen; and by special friends Julie, Dale and Haylee Weyant.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Damien; and a sister, Marilyn Claar.
Tammie was a 1980 graduate of Glendale High School and attended Claysburg-Kimmel until the 10th grade. She was employed as an eligibility specialist at Child Care Information Services of Blair County. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2013, at Claysburg Bible Church, 11751 William Penn Road, Imler, PA 16655. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, Pastor Keith Showalter officiating. Interment will be at Upper Claar Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Claysburg Bible Church Building Fund. Arrangements are by Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg.
