I am writing in response to a letter that was written by Sandy Harshbarger and published in the Mirror on April 12.
Since some members of the Altoona Area school board were accused of being "ill informed," I would like to point out that Harshbarger is the one who is ill informed.
While I agree with the views of some tea party members on some issues, I am not, and have never been, a member of the tea party.
Also, I would like to point out that if the investigation is conducted that Harshbarger called for, she and others would find that I do not "have ties to disgruntled or former employees" nor do I have an "ax to grind."
I make my decisions based upon what I feel is in the best interest of the students and the district.
The matter at issue in the letter is still under investigation. Once the investigation is concluded, we will all have the facts, and then the taxpayers can feel free to make their own judgments based upon whatever the truth may be.
