Joyce Ann Snyder, 81, of 400 Washington Ave., Tyrone, died Wednesday at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.
She was born in Tyrone, daughter of the late Howard M. and Bertha Catherine (Nolan) Burket. She married Charles E. Snyder on May 11, 1951, in Winchester, Va., and he died Oct. 25, 1988.
Surviving are three sons: James M. (Lisa) of Tyrone, Kevin L. (Annette) of Altoona and Barry E. of Tyrone; a daughter, Bonnie Lou Turiano of Sinking Valley; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert L. Burket (Alice) of Tyrone; two sisters: Nancy L. Cowfer (Robert) of Tyrone and Shirley J. Burket of State College; and her best friend, Arlene Maser of Tyrone.
She was preceded in death by a son, William H.; a brother, William Burket; and a sister, Betty Lou Hubert.
Joyce was a homemaker and enjoyed reading and television. She retired as a dietitian from Mental Health System in Ebensburg.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2013, at Derman Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 15, 2013, the Rev. Carl A. Schmidt officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
