Emily Elizabeth Smith and Matthew Dwight Straesser were united in marriage at 5 p.m. March 16 in the Nevin Chapel at Franklin and Marshall College, Lancaster.
The bride is the daughter of Rodger and Cheryl Smith of Greenwich, Conn. The bridegroom is the son of Dwight and Debra Straesser of Duncansville. Pastor Matthew Cohen of Citylight Church in Philadelphia performed the double-ring ceremony. Soloists were Rodger Smith and Katie Rosevear.
Brian Bostwick performed a reading.
Mary Magnani was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sara Straesser, sister of the groom; and Rebecca Smith and Katie Rosevear, sisters of the bride. Molly McCready, cousin of the groom, was a bridal assistant. Nicholas Hegedus served as best man. Groomsmen were Ian Busko, David Robinson and John Albright. The reception was held at the Cork Factory Hotel, Lancaster.
The rehearsal dinner was held at the Iron Hill Brewery, Lancaster.
Mrs. Straesser is a 2007 graduate of Greenwich High School and a 2011 graduate of Franklin and Marshall College, Lancaster.
Mr. Straesser is a 2007 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School and a 2011 graduate of Penn State University, University Park.
The couple are medical students at Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia.
