Bernadette Marguerite Roesch, 76, Fallentimber, formerly of Altoona and Bellwood, died Saturday at Altoona Regional after an extended illness.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late George W. and Gertrude J. (Zeek) Teeter. She married Richard R. Roesch, who preceded her in death in 2006.
Surviving are four sons: William Hatch and wife, Patricia, of Strasburg, James Hatch and wife, Nina, of Boswell, Mac Parker and wife, Dakota, of Tyrone and Rick Roesch and wife, Rosemary, of Pittsburgh; three daughters: Suzett Simmons and husband, Vernon, with whom she resided, Michelle Herrington and husband, Steve, of Moore, Okla., and Dawn Hileman and husband, James, of Hollidaysburg; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; twin brothers: Michael Teeter and family of Hiram, Ohio, and Leon Teeter and son of Kent, Ohio; and two sisters: Judith Teeter of Hollidaysburg and Lucy McClelland of Largo, Fla.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Idabelle Musselman; and three brothers: George, Nelson and John Teeter.
Bernadette was a graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School. She retired as a secretary from DelGrosso's Amusement Park and previously had worked at Bland, Boyertown and Lakemont parks. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Frugality. She loved to read and travel and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon and 3 to 4:45 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, followed by a funeral service at 5 p.m. by Father David Roesch. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
