Charles E. Hanley, 76, Altoona, died Saturday at Altoona Regional.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Rollick E. and Anna (Dibosky) Hanley. He married Evelyn R. Bender on April 18, 1955, in Winchester,Va. She preceded him in death on March 11, 1997.
He is survived by four children: Debra Hanley in New York, Dianna Nardella and husband, Stephen, in Maryland, Charles Jr. in Virginia and Brenda Post in Maryland; five grandchildren: Jennifer, Lisa, Benjamin, Andrew and Charles; five great-grandsons; a brother, David Hanley of Bellwood; and two sisters: Carol Kephart of Boonesboro, Md., and Mary O'Leary of Tipton.
Mr. Hanley was a member of St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church.
He was a graduate of Altoona Catholic High School.
He had retired from Sunoco after many years of service.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013, in Stevens Memorial Chapel by Father D. Timothy Grimme. Committal will be at Calvary cemetery.
