Anne A. Hilsinger, 85, Altoona, died peacefully Sunday at home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., daughter of George and Mary (Arony) Anargyros. She married Richard H. Hilsinger on Dec. 24, 1950, in Brooklyn.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Elaine Condrin and husband, Patrick, of Altoona and their children, Maureen (Joseph) Cleary and Kevin Condrin; and two sons: Glenn and wife, Susan Ritchey, of Mendham, N.J., and their children, Claire and Jack Hilsinger, and Jeffery and wife, Kathy, of Roselle Park, N.J.
Anne was a graduate of Pratt Institute with a degree in dietetics and a graduate of Rutgers University with a master's in home economics education. She worked as a hospital dietitian in Hawaii while her husband was in the Navy. After her graduation from Rutgers, she developed and taught vocational food service programs for special needs students. Upon her retirement, she traveled extensively throughout the Far East with her husband of 62 years.
Anne was a wonderful cook and homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
A service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona.
