The Southern Alleghenies Planning and Development Commission's board of directors Wednesday approved the following loans for area businesses:
-- $200,000 to help Matthew S., Elvin N. and Esther S. Garman, 2269 Hickory Bottom Road, Martinsburg, to purchase a 107-acre grain farm with 80 tillable acres in a $540,250 project.
-- $200,000 for M&C Distribution LLC/Queen City Fruit & Produce Co., 125 E. Central Way, Bedford, to help Mark and Connie Way purchase QCFP from John DiFabio in a $500,000 project.
-- $200,000 for Robert O. Bailey, 210 Bailey Lane, Roaring Spring, to help pay for a $895,635 project, which calls for the construction of a free-stall barn and the purchase of two robotic milkers.
-- $180,000 for Scott A. and Rebecca Mosemann, 4406 Great Cove Road, Warfordsburg, to help purchase a small farm contiguous to Misty Mountain Farm, which is owned and operated by Scott Mosemann's family.
-- $120,000 for Pitt Street Innkeepers LLC, 131 E. Pitt St., Bedford, to help Constance L. Clark and Martha G. Helsel acquire Oralee's Golden Eagle Inn, a bed and breakfast, in a $400,000 project.
-- $94,500 for All American Pizza & Subs Inc., 612 Washington St, Huntingdon, to help Jason McGeary purchase the business in a $280,000 project.
