Mary "Mae" Twardon, 81, Hollidaysburg, died Thursday, March 7, 2013, at her residence.
Mrs. Twardon was born in Ganister, Pa., daughter of the late George and Mary (Martin) Conrad. She married John G. Twardon on Oct. 18, 1958, at St. Mary's Orthodox Church, Ganister. He died on June 4, 2010.
Mae is survived by two brothers: George Conrad of Conway, Pa., and John Conrad of Brook Park, Ohio; and also several nieces and nephews.

Mae was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Wapner; and a brother, Alex Conrad.
She was a member of St. George Orthodox Church, Altoona.
She was a homemaker and previously worked at Butterick.
Mae attended Williamsburg High School.
She was a member of St. Mary's Ladies Society of St. George Orthodox Church. She enjoyed decorating Pasanki Decopage Eggs, traveling and baking.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2013, at Jones Funeral Home, where a Trisagion Service will be celebrated at 6 p.m. A funeral service will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at St. George Orthodox Church, Altoona, with Father Anthony G. Roeber officiating. Interment will be at Alto Reste Park Cemetery.
