Albert D. "Butch" Endress, 68, Altoona, died Thursday at his home.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Albert E. and Judith J. (Hyle) Endress.
He is survived by two sisters: Donna Schneider and Carole Forney; a brother, Charles, all of Altoona; an aunt, Ruth Ferry; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Judith Layton and Nancy Lattieri.
Butch had worked at various jobs over the years, including the PRR, Penn Central RR, Subway and also as a truck driver.
He was a graduate of Altoona Area High School.
He loved his Harley, his cats and dogs and was a member of H.O.G., A.B.A.T.E.(Alliance of Bikers Aimed Toward Education), and the NRA.
He was a veteran of both the Army and Marine Corps.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home Inc., where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Tim McGarvey officiating. Interment with military honors by the Blair County Honor Guard will be at Calvary Cemetery.
