Elizabeth Laura Miller, 94, formerly of rural Williamsburg, went home to be with the Lord Monday night at The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg.
She was born near Huntingdon, daughter of the late George S. and Ethel L. (Everhart) Haney. She married James D. Miller on Oct. 18, 1935, in Cumberland, Md., and he passed away Sept. 25, 2001.
Surviving are two sons: James R. and wife, Janet, and Mathias E. Sr. and wife, Mona, all of rural Williamsburg; seven grandchildren: James R. II, Mathias Jr., Christine Allison, Lisa Reighard, Dwayne, William and Rebecca; 12 great-grandchildren: April, Jacqueline England, Benjamin, Noah Reighard, Morgan Reighard, Allison Allison, Zachariah Allison, Brent Allison, Chelsi Brashears, Robert, Joseph and Brad; four great-great-grandchildren: Regan England, Abigail England, Zachary England and Blake; and three sisters: Audrey Miller and Dawn Snare of rural Williamsburg and Sandra Norton of
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin; a great-grandson, William Jr.; three sisters: Anna Miller, June Wilson and infant Rosamond; and two brothers: Clifford and Neil.
Elizabeth was a member of Williamsburg Independent Bible Baptist Church, rural Williamsburg. She was a homemaker who enjoyed flower gardening and ceramics.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2013, at John C. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Williamsburg Independent Bible Baptist Church, Pastor Joseph D. Weber officiating. Interment will follow at Sparr Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be given to Williamsburg Ambulance Club.
