JOHNSTOWN - The Central Pennsylvania Arthritis Walk will take place at 9 a.m. May 11 on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.
While there is no cure, the Arthritis Foundation works every day to promote public health education, professional education and training and patient and community services including arthritis exercise programs.
The walk takes place in hundreds of cities nationwide, typically during Arthritis Awareness Month in May.
Supporters who join the Arthritis Walk become part of Let's Move Together, a nationwide movement led by the Arthritis Foundation that encourages people to move to prevent or treat arthritis.
Throughout the day, participants will enjoy festive activities, games and contests and live entertainment from the area's own White Shadow Band.
Individuals are encouraged unite with friends and family in walking and raising funds for a cure. To start a team, visit http://
