Albert G. Stange, 90, Sun City West, Ariz., formerly of Altoona, died Feb. 23, 2013, at Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center, Sun City West.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Albert and Catherine (Datres) Stange. He married Betty Mardell Reeder on July 2, 1949.
Surviving are his wife; three daughters: Barbara K. Wilt and husband, Marty, Patricia A. Stange and Dionne M. Reed and husband, Rusty; three grandchildren: Gretchen Swank and husband, Richard, and Madeline and Jacob Reed; and a great-grandson, Richard Swank III.
He was preceded in death by a brother, the Rev. A. Henry Stange.
Albert was a 1942 graduate of Altoona High School. He was a WWII veteran, serving as a submarine mine loader in the U.S. Army in the Aleutian Islands and the Pacific. He retired from Wheel & Rim Sales Co., Altoona, as a counter sales manager.
Albert and Mardell relocated to Sun City West in 1994 but spent their summer months in Pennsylvania. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bellwood, and attended Our Lady of Lourdes in Sun City West.
A private service will be held by the family.
