Pamela Jo Henry, 55, Roaring Spring, died Tuesday at her residence.
She was born in Jamestown, N.Y., daughter of Janet (Watson) Gwizdak and the late John H. Henry.
Surviving are her mother; four siblings: Jon M. (Jennifer White) of Durham, N.C., Elissa H. (Zac) Brousseau of Silver Spring, Md., Donald (Kelly) of Lockport, N.Y., and David (Chris) of East Amherst, N.Y.; two uncles: David G. (Joanna) Watson of Meadville and P. Douglas (Deidre) Watson of Portsmouth, N.H.; a niece, Adriel (Rob) Norlander, and great-niece, Olivia Norlander, of Avon Lake, Ohio; a niece and nephew: Caden and Hailey Brousseau, of Silver Spring, Md.; a niece, Lilia Henry of Lockport, N.Y.; and nephews: Matthew and Andrew Henry of East Amherst, N.Y.
Also surviving are her Skills of Central Pennsylvania caregiving family and Lisa Purcell, support coordinator, all of whom provided her with love and support while always honoring her personhood.
She was preceded in death by her father; her stepmother, Kathy Henry; her stepfather, Henry J. Gwizdak; her grandparents: Dale and Gladys Henry and Garth and Pauline Watson; and aunts: Deloris Henry and Delores Watson.
Pam was very affectionate with a great sense of humor and a contagious smile and laugh. She loved to hug and be hugged. She was friendly to everyone and accepted them as they were. She especially loved horses and animals of all kinds and was very gentle and kind towards them.
Pam was very courageous with an ability to persevere through all of the medical complications that she encountered. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
At the wishes of her family, viewing and services will be private.
In her memory, gifts may be made to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, Home Nursing Agency Hospice or Skills of Central Pennsylvania Inc.
