Rosella M. Greiner, 88, of 2319 Fifth Ave., Altoona, died Wednesday at her residence after an extended illness.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Ludwig and Caroline (Golderer) Leipold. She married Leo G. Greiner on Oct. 27, 1951, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, and he preceded her in death May 31, 1987.
Surviving are three sons: David, Dennis and Daniel, with whom she resided. She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters and was the last surviving member of the Leipold family.

Rosella was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a homemaker, wife and mother. She enjoyed attending events together as a family unit, especially Altoona Curve, Pittsburgh Pirates and Baltimore Orioles games. She was an avid follower of the Drum and Bugle Corps and country music concerts, especially Kathy Mattea. She also enjoyed attending boys' and girls' Bishop Guilfoyle basketball games, especially the girls' games.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held Friday. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
