John T. McCall, 91, Homewood at Martinsburg, formerly of Sinking Valley, died Monday at Homewood.
He was born in Jackson Township, Huntingdon County, son of John B. and Blanche E. (Wall) McCall. He married Marian J. Smith on March 18, 1950.
Surviving are his wife of Martinsburg; and a sister, Marge Douglas of Cleveland, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: James A. and Fred D.
John was a 1941 graduate of Altoona High School and a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He retired in the early 1980s from the U.S. Postal Service. He attended St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sinking Valley, and he loved the outdoors.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park Cemetery, the Rev. Gerald W. McCuller Jr. officiating. Interment will be at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Sinking Valley.
