Geraldine L. Robuck, 82, formerly of Altoona, passed away Saturday afternoon in State College.
She was born on Sept. 14, 1930, in Altoona, daughter of the late Francis and Helen Carothers. She married Frank A. Robuck on Sept. 14, 1955, in Winchester, Va.
Surviving are her son, Joseph and wife, Sharon, of Atlanta, Ga.; two grandsons, Christopher Robuck and Matthew Robuck, a granddaughter-in-law, Casey Robuck, and a great-granddaughter, Ella Grace Robuck, all of Atlanta; a daughter, Barbara Robuck of State College; and Rod Wheeler of State College, whom she thought of as a son.
Geraldine was a 1950 graduate of Altoona High School.
She was a professional mom whose life revolved around her family. She enjoyed a lifetime of travel and had recently moved to State College, a town that she had always loved, to enjoy life as she got older. She was anxious to be reunited in Heaven with her husband, Frank, and twin brother, Gerald. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side and was able to hold her newborn great-granddaughter in her arms for the very first time before she moved on. Her greatest joy in life was life itself and the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. A funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family, and committal will be at SS. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery, Altoona.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to SS. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery Endowment, c/o Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 2010 12th Ave., Altoona, PA 16601.
Arrangements are by Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona.
